Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 11, 2026
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires websites that endorse or recommend products to clearly disclose any "material connection" — for example, payment, free products, commissions, or referral fees — between the website and the businesses it covers. The full guidance is in 16 CFR Part 255. This page explains where TinyHomeList stands.
Current status
As of May 11, 2026, tinyhomelist.com has no active affiliate or referral relationships with any builder, retailer, lender, service provider, or other business listed on TinyHomeList. We do not earn commissions when you click links, contact builders, or take action through the Site.
The directory exists to help readers find tiny home builders, parking options, and zoning information. Today, the Site is unmonetized; builders are listed because they're operating tiny home businesses we can document, not because they pay us.
What an affiliate or referral relationship would look like
This could change in the future. Examples of relationships we may enter into:
- Affiliate links. A builder, retailer, or service provider pays us a referral fee or commission when you click a link, sign up, or make a purchase.
- Lead-referral fees. A builder pays us when we route a qualified quote request to them.
- Sponsored placements. A business pays for a labeled, sponsored spot in the directory or in editorial content.
- Free or discounted products or services provided in exchange for editorial coverage.
How we'll disclose changes
If any of the above relationships becomes active, we'll do all of the following before publishing the connected content:
- Update this page to describe the relationship, in plain English.
- Add a clear, conspicuous disclosure on every page that contains the affected links — at the top of the page, not buried at the bottom.
- Label sponsored placements as "Sponsored" and apply the appropriate technical signals (such as
rel="sponsored"on links) for search engines and assistive technology.
Disclosures will appear before, not after, you encounter the recommendation. If you ever see content on the Site that looks promotional and isn't clearly disclosed, please tell us at info@tinyhomelist.com — we'll fix it.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions — which builders appear in the directory, what we say about a state's zoning rules, which financing approaches we recommend — are made independently of any commercial relationship. A business paying us would not buy a positive review. If we cover a paying business, the coverage will reflect what we actually know, and any commercial relationship will be disclosed.
Cost to you
If we ever add affiliate links, you will not pay more because of them. Builders and merchants pay us out of their marketing budgets; the price you pay is the same whether you reach them through us or directly.
