About TinyHomeList

TinyHomeList was built to solve a real problem: finding accurate, well-organized tiny home listings and builder information is harder than it should be.

Most platforms have incomplete data, stale listings, or bury the information that actually matters to buyers — zoning legality, builder reputation, realistic total cost of ownership.

We built TinyHomeList to be the directory we wished existed. Every listing is curated. Every state page is written with honest zoning information, properly hedged and dated. Every builder profile links to real completed work.

What We Cover

  • Tiny homes for sale — THOWs, foundation builds, container homes, prefab units, and communities
  • Verified builder profiles with service areas and specialties
  • State-by-state zoning and legal guides
  • City-level listings and local builder directories
  • Buyer education: financing, inspection, setup, insurance

Our Standards

We don't publish AI filler. Every article earns its place. Legal and zoning information is dated and sourced, with a clear instruction to verify locally — because regulations change and we're not attorneys.

Listings reference their source. Builder profiles are based on publicly available information. We update stale content and remove listings that are no longer active.

Editorial Methodology

Zoning summaries, key legislation references, parking rules, and cost figures are researched from public sources — state legislatures, municipal planning departments, county codes, official tiny-home pilot programs, and reputable industry reporting. Where we can, we date pages so you can see how fresh the information is. Where we summarize a law, we link to the underlying source. We do not invent legal language, and we don't republish other people's writing without attribution.

Builder profiles are compiled from publicly available information: company websites, public business records, certification registries, and reporting on the tiny home industry. We do not endorse, certify, or warrant the work of any builder we list. If a builder asks us to update or remove their listing, we do.

Cost estimates are aggregated from public sources and industry reports. They are estimates, not quotes. Treat them as a starting point, not a basis for a financial decision.
