Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

TinyHomeList is committed to making the Site accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, and screen magnifiers. Tiny home information should be available to everyone, not just visitors who happen to fit a default browsing pattern.

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard most U.S. government and large private-sector sites work toward, and it covers the practical needs of most assistive-technology users.

What we do

  • Build the Site with semantic HTML so headings, lists, navigation, and forms have meaning that assistive technology can interpret.
  • Provide meaningful text alternatives for non-decorative images.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast for body text and interactive elements.
  • Keep all interactive controls keyboard-reachable and visibly focused.
  • Label form fields, including the contact, submission, and newsletter forms, so they're usable without sighted pointing.
  • Avoid auto-playing audio or video and motion that can't be paused.
  • Review accessibility when we ship significant new pages or templates.

Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. The following areas are works in progress, and we appreciate patience and feedback:

  • Some third-party embeds (maps, external listing widgets) may not be fully accessible. Where these appear, we try to provide an equivalent text path or link.
  • Some older content may have image alt text that doesn't fully describe complex images. We update these as we revisit pages.
  • The interactive tools (cost calculator, loan calculator, zoning map) get the most ongoing review; if you hit a barrier, please report it so we can prioritize a fix.

How to report a problem

If you encounter a page or feature that doesn't work for you, email info@tinyhomelist.com with:

  • The page URL.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • What happened (or didn't happen).
  • The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using, if you can share that.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to provide a clear path to a fix or workaround in our reply.

Alternative ways to access content

If a specific page on the Site is creating a barrier for you, email us and we will provide the relevant information in an alternate format — for example, a plain-text summary, a tagged PDF, or a phone call to walk through the content together. We'd rather over-communicate than leave you without the answer.

Changes to this statement

We'll update this page as our accessibility work evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
